The Brasseries very own LIVE kitchen will feature live cook off competitions between professional chefs and students as well as demonstrations and workshops throughout the four day event.
There will be a different theme each day, starting with ‘Throwback Thursday’, where former students will be welcomed back into the kitchen to take part in the chefs challenge. They will also take part in the ‘Kitchen Catch Up’, where you can find out what they’ve been up to since graduating from the College.
The Claire Clark Academy will take centre stage on ‘Feel Good Friday’, with demonstrations of sweet dishes including ‘The Art of Choux’ in the morning, with ‘Perfect Pavlova’ in the afternoon. Tony Oxley will be having a ‘Kitchen Catch Up’ with our Principal, Julie Mills, to cook her favourite take away. Level 2 students will also be showing off their skills in a ‘Chefs Challenge’ in the morning.
2016 MK Chef of the Year, Spencer Ollington, will kick off ‘Super Food Saturday’ by sharing some nutritious breakfast ideas, and will then move onto another round of ‘Chefs Challenge’, where students creativity and flair will be tested with a mystery box.
Things will get active on ‘Sports Sunday’ where the Sports department will be joining us for some challenges, and will be giving their top tips on smoothies. With it being Father’s Day, Head Chef George Spires will be cooking lunch for Chef Crawley with his son, Harry.
